Surname spelling
The MANSER surname is spelled more than one way and even changes within the same generation. The spelling skills of the times will determine how a surname is spelled as most people with writing skill spell the way it is pronounced, or they know another name that sounds close and they can spell that name.
My grandfather changed the spelling of Manzer to Manser, therefore, his descendants have one spelling while other relatives have another spelling.
